About Me

My name is Amanda. I love mountains, music and learning about bugs, animals, different cultures, and plants. Most of what I do is writing, either in the form of investigative journalism or literary analysis. Though, in addition, I work with organizations and companies focusing on finding solutions to global issues.
Currently, I am fueling my newfound love for interpersonal communication by researching the ethnographic communication techniques and patters surrounding partisan issues like climate change.
This passion for communications has lead me down some unexpected paths in life and provided me experience working in media, marketing, and research roles for various organizations. I bring the skills I've honed into every aspect of my work, whether I'm managing a backcountry facility or organizing volunteers around the nation. I have a passion for people and social change. I believe education is the key to everything, and I have genuine hope for the future of our planet.
In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, hiking mountains, enjoying films, journaling, and volunteering for political campaigns and organizations. I have hopes to one day write children's books on global issues and bring about change in the United States' education curriculum.
